Souper Bowl of Caring

$1,811.30 raised will benefit DHH Church

DHH (Dios Habla Hoy) is a church in Minneapolis that has responded to the city’s recent ICE raids by helping families to get the nutrition they need through home deliveries. It began when they saw a growing number of families struggling—many staying home and avoiding public spaces due to fear and uncertainty caused by immigration enforcement activity in Minneapolis.
What started by helping a few families has now grown into a full operation serving thousands across the Twin Cities.

This operation benefits families across Minneapolis—including families who are isolated, under financial strain, or unable to safely access food, work, and resources.

Temple Goes Solar

Wednesday, July 28, 2021 Temple Lutheran, Havertown, cut the ribbon on a new 44kW solar array, installed with the help of Solarize DelCo, an all volunteer program of neighbors helping neighbors to go solar. The electricity produced by the panels is enough to offset 100 percent of Temple's annual electricity usage and eliminate 24 tons of carbon emissions each year. (Photo by Rev. Matt Staniz)
